A few words about beaches

Kefalonia has a huge coastline with beaches ranging from tiny tranquil coves to fun packed organised
bays and everything in between. Our top six beaches include:

The world famous Myrtos Beach is a breath taking display of natural beauty with a large shingle beach
surrounded by white cliffs and turquoise water.

Xi Beach is known for its red sand and clay cliffs, which are said to have healing properties. Xi is family
friendly with shallow, warm waters and some facilities.

Ideal for teenagers and those looking for a little more action, the beach at Anti Samos has an array of
beach bars, tavernas and water sports. It is also extremely beautiful, with crystal clear water and a green
mountainous backdrop.

Kaminia Beach is a long sweeping bay of golden sand and shallow warm water. It is also home to some
of the Caretta Carreta (loggerhead turtles) nesting sites, and has a very relaxing vibe of times past.

The small rocky Alaties (Salty) Beach is ideal for explorers with its salt rock pools, underwater rock
formations and striking rugged nature.

Platia Gialos Beach is a long, sandy beach with low key organisation. Very popular with families and
within walking distance from the resort of Lassi.
