Charming Stone Cottage is a traditional Greek rural house, built over 100 years ago. The cottage has many of it’s original features and character – it is built from locally quarried stone and the interior features beautiful ceiling beams made from local Cyprus trees and has been tastefully renovated over the last 20 years.
Inside you will find charming pieces of antique furniture. The open plan ground floor is partly carved out of the rock foundation so remains cool in the summer whilst retaining warmth in the winter months. The ground floor consists of a comfortable sitting area, a dining area and a very well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs is reached by a metal spiral staircase. Here the cypress ceilings are high which gives a light and spacious feel. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are reached via the landing; both bedrooms are light and airy with two windows and high ceilings. The double bedroom looks directly onto the stone pool terrace and towards Dafnoudi valley. The twin bedroom has an exterior door which opens onto a terrace with views towards Lixouri.
Enjoy the private swimming pool and terrace, which overlooks the valley. Sunset is an amazing sight from here, ideal to dine and relax. In front of the main entrance to the cottage is a large shaded terrace with a farmhouse table for daytime al fresco dining. The mature garden features scented shrubs and fruit trees.
